Chapter 3 Supplement

Welcome class, to Chapter 3 of World History, Ancient Egypt.

Although the Egyptian Empire lasted for over 3000 years, this

supplemental unit will concentrate on the times of one of Egypt's most

dynamic pharaohs, Ramses II. From his capital at Pi-Ramses, north of

Thebes, Ramses II ruled the greatest empire then known to man. His

armies ruled Northern Africa, his ships traded with Greece, Lebanon,

Syria, and Ethiopia. His ministers and diplomats spoke with power in

all the surrounding lands, and farther. To commemorate his

achievements he raised some of the most spectacular monuments on

Earth. Come; let us look into the times of one of histories greats.
